Thanks to the generosity of friends in our community that believe in high quality early education for all children, Childcare Resources families are able to celebrate successes in all kinds of ways.

David, Angela and Bradley
Prior to joining the Childcare Resources program, David and Angela met all of our qualifications. However, their son Bradley, 2, remained on our waiting list for more than a year due to the limited number of infant and toddler spaces available at accredited centers in Indian River County. Although both parents work full time, their paychecks simply did not stretch far enough to afford quality childcare for Bradley. They were thrilled when Childcare Resources finally had a spot for him at Maitland Farm Preschool, where he is actively learning and discovering new things every day. David and Angela can go to work each day knowing Bradley is receiving quality care and education that they can afford.

Marcella and Nicholas
Marcella gave birth to Nicholas the summer before her junior year of high school. She took parenting classes at Vero Beach High School and graduated with her class in June 2006. Despite English being her second language (she is originally from Colombia), she passed the FCAT and was able to enroll at Indian River Community College. She also works part time as a hostess at the John’s Island Club. Marcella says she would not have been able to start college without the childcare tuition assistance she receives through Childcare Resources. Nicholas is now three years old and thriving at Tiny Treasures in Sebastian. Marcella is starting her second year of college and her goal is to become a psychologist. She wants to give Nicholas a good life and set an example for him about the importance of education.
